| Any thoughts on a Very inexpensive dig/ camera for when we go riding...before I ruin Yampols? Image stab., SD, prefer AA batteries...easy operation If I drop it, lose it, ... I don't want to be too | |

| I've been recommending the older Olympus Stylus Weather proof digital cameras but they are getting harder and harder to find. Your second best bet would be to buy a camera in the 40-70 buck range and plan on replacing it ever couple years Almost all the cameras have image stab and use either sd or micro sd cards. I would stay away from the aa battery cameras as it increases the bulk and size of the camera and with todays battery improvements most will hold a charge a long time. Just recharge the batteries when you get back home and they will be good for the next ride. Also dont get caught up in the megapixels race. Any point and shoot over 5 megapixels will give you plenty of image quality. Thats one mans opinion.... I could be wrong | |

| I have an Olympus 720W. Shockproof to 5' of dropping. Waterproof to 10 below the surface. I haven't tested the limits, but I have had it a long time. Still works flawlessly. No lens to extend or retract either. Size of a deck of cards. Fits easily in a shirt pocket. I like it a lot. Good Luck. | |

| I use the one G Bob talked about. Works OK for what I do. Olympus does use a different design card that will only work in there camera as far as I know. | |

| We have the SONY Cybershot which we have had for several years. That is what I used to take the pictues of the birds attacking Jim - which were clear and sharp pictures. | |
