Due to time restraints, this will be an abreviated trail report. I drew the short straw... Laughing

Headed south early Wednesday morning.
Unloaded at Ashland Trailhead noon thirty.
Met up with four people from WV SXS.
Got to see a 1000cc Commander in action.
Sharp machine.
Rode 35 miles on Pinnacle Creek.
Air temp was cool, trail condition was muddy(all four days). Thanksgiving Ride Grinning-smiley-013
Loaded up and headed to RCH Lodging.
Nice lodging.
Isolated location.
Required us to do nearly all of our own meal prep.
Oh yeah.
Guy ride.
Our meals were just fine.
We still missed Ruger.
And chicken. Thanksgiving Ride Animal-smiley-032
Ran out of TP. Thanksgiving Ride Sad-smiley-017
Rode into Welch for our one meal away from base camp.
Chili dogs and milkshakes for lunch.
Beer and cookies for supper.
Livin the Good Life!
Who needs Ruger?
Had the trails to ourselfs on Turkey Day and Black Friday.
Saw several groups on Saturday.
Headed back north early Sunday morning after breakfast at the Beckley Cracker Barrel.
Another terrific trip.
Rode an aggressive 225 miles.
Only two minor bike issues.
Both easily fixed.
My Yamacliner is back in the garage all washed and ready for the next adventure.
Apple pie is cooling...
Diet starts tomorrow. Rolling Eyes

Pics to follow...

Hopefully this short report will still inspire you to get out and ride!

NIce report PP. Glad everyone had a great time. Very Happy Some of us had family things to do, but still had a great weekend. Plenty of food here, plus we did not run out of TP here. Laughing

Ditto PP -- great riding -- good food -- as usual.

Ran out of T.P. ???? Six guys & chili -- Shocked

Can't wait to do it again.

But I did learn a very important lesson -- DON'T ride behind Farmer in muddy conditions.

I had a great time and enjoyed the ride and friendship.
Really a great group of folks to ride with.
Special thanks to Farmer for allowing Bob and I to ride down in his Cadillac truck.
Wacker for his great navigation skills, and bringing extra TP...

TP...is that a shelter to protect your butt or provisions to "wipe it?"

Yeah, Farmer has the truck everyone needs. Very Happy
He also makes a RZR do what looks to be impossible.
If we hadn't seen it... What a Face

"It was a good time had by all" for sure.

PP sure does know how to pound out the ride reports and he's always got something funny up his sleeve.

Once again Slopoke rounded up lodging for this years T-Bird Ride and he kept us in-line through emails for all the food acquisitions. I'll say it was quite the undertaking just to get through all the vast quanities of food that converged on the house for three days of riding, but we all managed like we were professionals. The best weather day was on Thursday, but after that it was all down hill, the next two days were cold & breezy with a few rain showers on Friday morning. Everyone was dressed warm enough for a bunch of miles and a great weekend of riding. 2 RZR's & 4 quads.

Our home away from home for the weekend was RCH Lodging just outside of Mullens WV which is located on the HMT Pinnacle Creek trail system. Bring everything you want or need because you don't want to leave. Very enjoyable place to be away from it all.

I can say that the new connector to the Indian Ridge Trail is still in very good condition since riding it a few weeks ago, considering the amount of traffic it's had between the two systems the past few weeks.

A ride through Wyoming and McDowell counties would not be complete without a lunch stop
at the Sterling Drive-In in Welch. As aways a great place to stop for lunch and a milkshake.

Another mile stone this trip for my Ol' Red "YamaClinerComfortQuad" was the 5000 mile mark.
Not bad considering where all it's been and more HMT adventures then I can actually believe.

Let's head home... clean them up... and start getting ready for the next adventure.

Well the time was come and gone, but the memories will last forever. Thanks to everyone.
