You got that right G-Bob... New shoocks on all four corners soon should be a big improvement though. - Sportsman wrote:

That's probably the only thing keeping the rest of her together Sportsman.

| Disc Brake Conversion Kit is now installed and we're only waiting on the master cylinder re-build kit to be shipped. Link HereIt's just about "rubber down" time for the Ol' Red Honda... She not only rides it, she repairs it... | |

| She looks way to clean for someone that's been working on an "ATV". | |

| New Shocks on all four corners... I can tell you this ~ the 98-01 and the 02-04 Honda Foremans aren't exactly the same when it comes to how the rear upper shock mounts. Had to do some serious refinements to the upper bushings and MAN! they were they extremely hard to get swapped out with the old ones. You ever get your finger stuck in something so bad that your first thought in your mind is what's the ER going to think? Then it's, I wish the wife was home, then your finger tip starts turning blood red purple and you're already way past Panic. Well, that was my finger stuck in the upper shock mount bushing trying to push the oversized grommet back into a smaller mounting hole. I had to lay the shock on the floor and stand on it with both feet and use my other hand to pull my finger out... Gotta say, "I was scard for a second..." It made for a great story and some funny laughs at dinner though... | |

| Old Red also got new fluids: engine oil, gear oil of course the brake fluid. We need a few new locknuts for the skid plate then she'll be good as new! | |

| Alright the poor 'ol buckboard is ready once again to see some sunlight. Rubber touches the ground, wheels torqued, oils up & all 3 headlights burning bright. Seems like the time between the New Years Ride and whenever the cold weather breaks is the longest time of the year for not getting to ride anywhere.... | |

| A BIG "Thank You" to Wacker for doing all that work to my Honda. I appreciate all the time, labor and frustration with "selected-vocabulary-to-match" that went along with the repairs. The brakes let me stop on a dime and the suspension, well, I'm getting used to it. I am glad to have my old trusty Honda still running strong. I still love the "crawl down the mountain and never touch your brakes" engine braking. | |

Whats this???? An explanation? Well the old suspension was so flat that it didn't push back hardly at all. The bike just bounced around, but now the suspension pushes back, so it is different. That's the best way I can explain it.
