| Article in Charleston newspaper talking about the road on Blair Mountain. This is the road that takes us across 17 to Blair Mountain and down into Shop Hollow, on are way over to Laurel/Kelly Mtn. area. Sounds like Massey Energy or another coal co. is trying to close it off for mountain top mining. NEWS ARTICLE | |

| I have not been there yet. But I believe we talked about this place on our trip? National Register of Historic Places?? I would certainly hope it could be saved. | |

| Probably the only National Historic place with burned out box springs where the fire tower used to be. | |
