| From the Beckley Sunday paper “It’s an exciting time for us at Hatfield-McCoy,” Lusk said. “In the next few weeks, we will be opening our connector between Indian Ridge and Pinnacle Creek trail systems as well as completing the mapping of the Oceana area system.”
Man is he every gonna give it up. and then there was this from Mike Pinkerton on Trails Heaven forum Facts on the Indian Ridge and Pinnacle Creek Connector. No matter what anyone says on this forum, the reality is that no one knows the exact day the connector is going to be complete. The reason is that we are dealing with pushing dirt and in some cases very challenging rock beds. We are also crossing a pretty good size creek. We also continually deal with property rights and not trespassing issues. In fact, I am the marketing director for the trail system and I can't even tell you the exact day the connector is going to open. No one can. It will open when it is done. Hopefully that day will be soon.
People, we need to stick to being positive on these forums. The negativity and attacks on other business WILL stop. Any posts attacking or making accusations towards others will result in suspensions. AND, anyone trying to represent Maybe Mike and Jeff need to have a chat | |

| I was thinking the same thing GBob. I think Mike may have been referring to Ashland resort posting the HM ranger had delivered "new" trail maps to the campground and said that it was open. Doesn't matter to me there are several ways to get there from here. Gotta luv your friends and the gps. Its fun at night too. | |

| It's there. It's THE fabled connector! We rode it. Twice. OK - So there aren't any signs yet, but the path was clear. Very clear as in NO DOUBT. From the Northfork end, you go down that gravel road by the one lane bridge. Right there where 19 comes to the pavement. You turn left by those blue gas pipes like you're heading toward those tanks up on the haul road at the intersection. Follow this now VERY GREEN RATED trail to a new crossing of the haul road that takes you straight onto the trail that goes by the brick building. On down to Tiny's Corner from there. They did an awesome job!! It could officially open anytime. | |

| That's the reason why I thought they would never put the connector thru there. | |

| Seems to me they have always been lienient down on that trail anyway. I dont know how many times Jo and I have come on a group either waiting to cross the creek or having just come back across the creek. I'd think they could hide and write tickets all day and now with easy access to WW I'd say it would be the same | |
