| Spent Saturday on Cold Knob with Jo and Jeff (jfscpawv ) . It was cool and windy with threatening clouds but the rain held off all day much to the displeasure of those riding behind. We showed Jeff around some of the new trails we have found. I let him try out the Grizzly and I spent a little time on his Honda. Jo and I had come across a trail last week but without the chain saw we were unable to cut our way thru it. Since I had the chain saw and some help we were able to clear the path and we now have a dust free way to get to the upper goat trail. After arriving around 6 and they still weren’t cooking we decided to head back to the trucks and find food somewhere else. All in all it was a good day. We got in 91.8 miles, I saw another black bear. ( the advantage of riding in front) For those that remember the chilly July 4th ride for a couple years back today was an exact copy. It was just plain cold on the ridge tops , I had my rain coat on most of the day for warmth and a couple times my ears were cold . Didn’t summer just start? They dont call it COLD KNOB for nothing ride view by gbobbrown, on Flickr 91.8 miles. I was going to run the grizz empty just to see how far it would go but wasnt sure if it might mess up the fuel injection if I ran it dry so I chickened out and added some gas at about 80 miles | |

| Enjoyed the pictures and trail report. It was cold on one of the last 4th July rides... Nice looking Google Earth map too. Another great day on the "Knob". Thanks... | |

| We were planning on heading back today but a little visit from a kidney stone last night put a crimp on that plan. Either I've passed it or its hidding somewhere but I'm feeling much better today | |

| Jo pointed out thats the second time I've thrown a kidney stone after a long atv ride. I think I'm gonna have to get rid of her cause I dont remember that sort of stuff and its gonna be hard to enjoy riding if I start thinking about kidney stones every time I go LOL | |
