We had about 23 riders for this 3 day event. We rode about 175 miles for the 2 days of riding. Friday was a travel day. Nice and relaxing 300 mile drive. Stopping and shopping as inclination led us. Most of us arrived late afternoon in St. Ignace, MI. Dinner and some barley pops around the hot tub. Off to relax in our private hot tub!!! Now, for the most important picture from the Cut River Diner!!! Saturday we rode from St. Ignace to Curtis, MI with our overnight gear on the quads with us. Not nice weather to start out but it dried out in the afternoon. Had some fun riding the rolling hills and washing the mud off the undercarriage in the creek. ***WARNING*** Women don't take kindly to getting chased out of the woods by quads. Hopping around & pulling up britches is not funny to them! You have been warned. That's about it for now. Back to work

No camping. We rode from St. Ignace to Curtis an spent the night in various motels. We filled one up!!! All within walking distance. Sunday we rode back to St. Ignace where our rigs were parked.

No lack of places to eat.
Overnight trips are very interesting to both of us.
Seems like we need to get back up to the U.P.
Thanks for sharing TW.

Google Earth tracks:
Tracks viewed with ATV trails in Background:
Some snowmobile trails are off limits to ATVs. Farms in Winter=Okay...Summer, not so much! Some folks don't live in the U.P. over the winter so they allow sleds access to their properties. Same tracks with Sled trails in Background:

Big Guy...you missed it. Perhaps it will be back. The actual owner removed it and here's why: This is from someone that lives in the U.P.
Hi, I'm glad you enjoyed you're time in the U.P. and want to thank everyone for coming up here to ride.
I watched the video and I would suggest you edit the part where ORV's are crossing a stream. As quoted from the ORV handbook: "An ORV may not be operated in a manner that creates an erosive condition. It is unlawful to operate an ORV in or on the waters of ANY stream, river, marsh, bog, wetland,or quagmire." I'm not trying to police anyone or be a Hard-a$$ but if I noticed it then I'm sure someone else will.I've worked with the DNR and Hiawatha Nat'l. Forest and this kind of activity is frowned upon and this is what ruins it for everyone else.I enjoy a good time like every other ORV'er and I don't agree with some of the regulations, but it is what it is and they(the DNR)are just looking for this kind of activity to close ORV trails near certain areas. Thank You again for riding the U.P.,

Thanks for the screen shots TW ~ very nice comparison.
The email you posted seems very "polite" and "informative".
You can definitely understand the persons concern for all of the ATV trails in that area.
Hopefully the video will get a "revision" and make a speedy recovery.
