| Since we didn’t make the trip north with the rest of the gang , Jo and I were lucky enough to spend our Sunday riding Cold Knob with Sportsman. He must be lucky cause it’s the first time we’ve ridden in a while that we didn’t break anything. We got a 10 am start and it was pleasant in the woods. It didn’t take long to heat up though and even at 4500 feet it was still hot out in the sun. We got an uneventful 70 miles or so in and Jeff was loaded up and headed off to meet Joyce by 4 in the afternoon. Despite having a trouble free day I’m still planning to get some new rides before the Maine trip for sure. Only you know what your head is worth. P5290012 by gbobbrown, on Flickr I guess we will have to share Cold Knob a few riders at a time from now on. Thanks to Sportsman for coming to ride with us. | |

| Since we havent been riding cold knob much this year so far ( we missed our Memorial day ride with you guys) I got to thinking we havent got a renewal letter from the club for our membership? HUH..is it possible we have been quietly ejected...excommunicated, banned???? So I decided to make a call last night to the secretary of the club to see what our status was. Turns out they didnt send renewals to anyone. I really wonder how that works out for them. Do you really think 300-400 people just sit down in June and write a 325 dollar check without any kind of notice from them??? Maybe my years in business for myself have made me cynical. From my experience no one sits down and writes me a check unless I send them an invoice or something. Maybe I've been doing it all wrong for the last 22 years LOL | |

Maybe that's why they patrol up there and give you the "join up now" lecture. I would think that stationary and stamps would be cheaper than a patrol guy | |
