| Went to the three local dealers in Beckly looking at toys today. Saw a sharp new Grizzly silver black(didnt ask a price) and a really sharp 450 grizzly with bighorns, mag wheels and a winch. Only 8500. Then went to look at the new Brute force. They didnt have the pretty gun metal silver on of the floor but the were pretty proud of the ones they had. 10,200. When I pointed out that was more than the MSRP they replied they had to add the crate charge and putting them together . WHen I told him I could get one out the door for 9200 plus tax at Romney Cycle he said that was exactly their cost. I said whats the best cash price you can do. $9800..I said well I gave you the chance. Went to the Can Am dealer next. I really think even though they are much higher you do get a somewhat better deal. THe 650 was 11,300 but you get a 2 year warranty, 6 ply tires and aluminum wheels and a winch included. Anyhooo I took the tahoe so I didnt bring anything home and it looks like I may be wrenching on ours a little more. Although theres a good chance Jo would get a new atv before I do. Cause after all I'm a good hubby I wouldnt ride around on something with PS and make my wife ride an old honda or something LOL Anyway..speaking of wrenching I put 2 new ball joints on Jos atv last night and advance auto came in handy again with the free rent tools. This ball joint setup runs 169 bucks but I used it and returned it and got my money back. Nothing like the right tool for the job to make a job easier. may_42 by gbobbrown, on Flickr What that in mind..every have a safe and fun Memorial Weekend. | |

| Romney Cycles GBob someone mentioned them somewhere else on here.
$8600 has been quoted on the 2012 Brute that was with a trade on a 2008 Brute giving $4500 on the old bike.

| Big G I may join you one day in leaving the force behind. It has been fun but I may see one of these in my distant future. | |

| I was looking at that too Dj..like alot of the stuff on it. Grease fittings on all the bushings...seemed big enough in the frame to fit me. I know Sportsmans is as fast as my brute so no lacking in power. Lot of guys around here run them down though so not sure about durability. I liked it when I bought my first atv. I knew nothing about them except for the fact that I fit on it and it was in my price range | |

I remember in a drag race that "NO" one riding a "Yamacliner" wanted to race the 800 Sportsman. As far as durability, I have only replaced the tires, with Bighorns of course, 1 u-joint in the front driveshaft and the wire harness I told you about. Changed all fluids and filters. It now has 2300 miles.

| I got towed a lot on my Brute Farce!!! Over 2 years and I couldn't get 600 miles out of it. Lawyers were involved twice. Happiest day of my life was dropping it off at a dealer across state, never to see it again!!! | |

| I've been pleased with my brute force. Its been a good bike for me, both size wise and durability wise. Its a little higher maintence than I would like between wheel bearings and having the valves adjusted every time I turn around. I'm probably gonna miss being able to stab the throttle and run down who ever is in front of me but if I was really that much of a speed freak I'd buy a can am I talked to the dealer yesterday and he's still 900 over Romney on the two atvs so I at least gave him a fair chance. He made a point of telling me that if I bought bikes somewhere else not to bother calling them for service work. All in all his attitude left a little to be desired and so it comes down to the cheapest price for me. I figure I can get two sets of bighorns for the price difference and as bullet proof as most grizzlys seem to be hopefully I'll never need any service work done | |
