I did hear/read about yet more closings. Some of the same old story. It's a combo of land abuse by off-road enthusiast along with supporters of land (no use) . Both groups are equally evil IMO. If we are honest with ourselfs, our riding brothers and sisters are most likely more responsible than the tree huggers for the closings. The 'huggers look for any reason to protect the land. They take a few snapshots, show them to the right people and next thing you know...ugh... Sad

This has been an on going battle with Environmentalists & Tree Huggers

Whats a U.S. representative from New York sticking his nose in Utah's business

The U.S. representative from New York .Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-N.Y.), who is sponsoring U.S. House bill H.R. 1925, which would close 9.4 million acres to off-highway vehicle (OHV) riding in Utah
Included in the 9.4 million acres that the representative from New York wants to close forever to Utah’s OHV community are existing OHV riding areas around Moab, the San Rafael Swell and Chimney Rock. These popular OHV areas represent some of the most important remaining OHV recreation areas in Utah, and are some of the most popular with responsible OHV riders. The targeted areas also include existing roads and developments.

Once land is designated as Wilderness No vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs or bicycles, are allowed on that land. Even horseback riders would be banned.

Take your pick, lots of articles

This link thru AMA lets you send an e-mail to your senators opposing this land grab.
It really is as simple as typing in your name, address, phone and e-mail.

Power to the People! cheers
