I received this email from a friend today.

Bob Bugert AKA Meestermud. May he rest in peace.

Denny called me this morning to let me know that Bob Bugert died yesterday around 5:30 pm. He was a good man and I’m proud to have called him my friend. His obit wasn’t in the paper this morning, but I’ll send it along when it appears.

Sorry to hear about Meestermud , he was a great man, always fun to be around. I will always remember the trips to H-M & the fun we had together

I pmed wacker earlier this morning with the info of Bob's passing...he must not be available.

MeesterMud was a fun guy to be around for sure.

Meestermud was one of the good guys. I'll never forget the time he and I shared a porch swing after an oversized Canadian meal. It's one of my all-time favorite memories. At that moment, live couldn't have been any better. Strangers treating each other like family in the great outdoors. Meestermud will be missed.

Sorry to hear the bad news, only met him once briefly on the trail.

I will miss him also, I remember the time he came in and he and I took us one of those good rides, man was it hot and I mean hot, seems every little creek crossing we was stopping and he was wetting his dew rag...LOL and on top of Elk Creek, we stopped, that was his first and I figure his last expierence with potted meat... he eat about half of it and handed it back to me and said BigLou it sure does not take much of that to do it .....

we sure had a good time, I also remember the ride with him and Hoosier 1, I remember they were gonna carve their names in a tree back on Wylo, but this trip I had my chainsaw... I whipped it out and cut their names in the trees, I wonder if they are still there.. I lost all my pictures of that ride.... wonder if Hoosier 1 would happen to have them still... would love to see them...

Meestermud advertised for sale an aluminum tandem 16 foot trailer on Quadcrew a couple of years ago...we negotiated a bit and I bought it. I still have it. He delivered the thing to me for a minimal amount and I gave he and his daughter two free night s lodging (along with the $$$) Bob was a good guy and will be missed!

i consider all you folks a good bunch of people, what i call keepers...

wish things were different and i was still there, getting to go and be at the very least around you all when you come in to town... but it is what it is... just gotta pick it up move on and do the best a person can...
