Downtown Cleveland also has a huge underground salt mine. 2-1/2 to 3 million tons a year.

Then of course the local municipalities like to cite the cost of shipping in rock salt for the roads as why they don't use as much as they use too. Cleveland is still 60 miles away it didn't move any farther away.

I do remember seeing a Modern Marvels epsiode just on salt. Mining, evaporation lagoons, sea salt, very interesting. A mine in Poland had a chruch in the mine carved out of the salt.

I also remember seeing this on Modern Marvels epsiode.

In our area we have Polish Immigrants that lived in Wieliczka & Kraków area & worked in the mine. My Brother's Wife's Great Grandfather & Grandfather worked in this mine.

Thank God It's Friday

A business man got on an elevator in a building. When he entered the elevator, there was a blonde already inside and she greeted him by saying, "T-G-I-F" (letters only).

He smiled at her and replied, "S-H-I-T" (letters only)."

She looked at him, puzzled, and said, "T-G-I-F" again.

He acknowledged her remark again by answering, "S-H-I-T."

The blond was trying to be friendly, so she smiled her biggest smile and said as sweetly as possibly "T-G-I-F" another time.

The man smiled back to her and once again replied with a quizzical expression, "S-H-I-T."

The blond finally decided to explain things, and this time she said, "T-G-I-F, Thank Goodness It's Friday, get it?"

The man answered, "Sorry, Honey, It's Thursday."
