| How many miles were on it Jeff? I'm just stunned by the all the things in need of repair... If that's typical, I couldn't afford to operate one. | |

2090. Yes, pretty much typical Polaris issues. Polaris need greased after every ride and power wash. The ball joints and front drive shaft u-joints are sealed auto style parts which is why they are junk. If they could be greased they would survive. Bushings are cheap and need upgraded to something other than rubber. Hub bearings go bad on all makes/models due to moisture /mud. | |

| I think a 'Large' percentage of maintenance/repairs depends on, first off, where you ride - second, how you ride.... | |

| I lubed the caliper slides , were dry and the calipers starting to stick on them. Also I reused the anti squeal shims , cleaned with brake clean and glued them on with red high temp silicone . The rear pads required modification, the top center tab needed ground off to fit correctly . My calipers don't have a tension clip in the top for that tab to rest against. | |

| Riding it around the neighborhood now shaking it down. Going to post office to see if more parts arrived . Put HID kit in last night, both bulbs plastic lock tabs broke so I had to engineer them Rain / storms on the way or I'd go for a longer ride . Still some more stuff to do to it . | |

| Thanks Timmi for toe specs . Wheel bearings could be an issue or I'm just not used to riding in it . The parasitic drag from that long front driveshaft & differential turning all the time could also be what I'm noticing ,along with a bit of brake drag untill the pads seat into the rotors . The front Stabilizer bar is still unhooked , I didn't have enough bushings on hand to hook it up . Polaris ones expensive , I can get the car ones for like $8-10. I'm going to ride it like it is first and see if I like it unhooked or not . It's weird driving it,I'm definitely not used to it . Hopefully going to take it to Wayne sometime saturdayfor a short ride .. . Doing tie rod ends and setting toe in the morning . Spent the day goofing off ,deciding on and situating a toolbox, cooler & gas pack on the bed so its easy to remove to get to the engine , running some auxiliary lighting electrical , an extra battery in the spare slot and installing aux lights between rain showers. | |

| Punisher, I am impressed at all the work you have put into this RZR! I have a 2014 with a little over 200 miles on it, and yours looks better than mine. This is the first Polaris I have ever owned, and I am getting a lot of tips on maintenance from your posts. I just got back from Kentucky with it, and after riding in the Daniel Boone National Forest, I will be sure and grease it up good. Great job on your RZR! sullyjim | |
