| Some of you know Explorer John from N.C. This was his old 570 Razr , it spun a rod bearing last month z I bought it and he bought a new 2014 Teryx. It arrived with the motor out and torn apart . Has aftermarket wheels / tires , 2 inch lift , roof , bumper & a punished engine Short notice deal , sold the Prairie to finance it . He was nice enough to also meet me in Virginia with it . | |

| A Polaris "Long Block" is nothing like an automotive Long Block, missing a lot of stuff, more like a short block with a head on it. Going to use $$$ from side work and income tax (After giving wife her share, lol) to get a used 2014 engine. Seller finally made a reasonable counter-offer to my offers for it. Update!- IRS $$$ went in @ 12:01 am , electronic payment went out Here is what $2,079 shipped to my door is getting me , besides a sore rear end and wallet 2014 used Polaris engine , I believe it has under 400 miles,( it has 273 miles on it ) Pictures show it is complete with ALL the covers on it , starter, starter solenoid, battery cables , generator/stator with integral flywheel, intake manifold, maf metering sensor, fuel rail, fuel injector , fuel pressure regulator , crankshaft position sensor, water pump, thermostat & housing , oil cap , dipstick . All of those parts are expensive and now I will have extras to keep in the truck in case anything ever fails Should be a drop in install job I know I will feel a lot better once it gets here , then my rear end won't hurt so bad , lol

| The cheapest OEM "Long Block" in the country was at Great Outdoor Powersports in Morehead KY for $1925, but after Tax and shipping it was almost $2100. Looks like a short block with a head . And there was the WAIT for Authorization to release Also , It would have been impossible to rebuild the old engine if I went this route since I would have needed the engine covers and many other bolts/parts to complete this engine. Here is how one of those comes .. Tag Part # Description Price Qty 1 2204950 KIT-LONG BLOCK RZR570 | [NOTE: THE LONG BLOCK ASSEMBLY CONTAINS A CRANKCASE, BALANCE SHAFT, CYLINDER HEAD, PISTON AND CRANKSHAFT ASSEMBLIES. ALSO INCLUDES THE SEALS, SPARK PLUG, VALVE COVER AND OIL PUMP. PRIOR AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED.] $1,925.24 | |

| Engine and Hid headlight conversion waiting for me when I got home ;D Engine is not even dirty , changed the oil and in it went ! Bolted up, now need to hook up all wiring and accessories . Also noticed that all control arm bushings are shot & the universal joints in the front driveshaft are wasted also :-\ May need rear hub bearings , too Explorer would have been shelling out some more $$$ Should be running tomorrow if there is no hidden punishment Then I will give it a better inspection So far only one missing motor mount bolt :-[ $2000 box of pink popcorn? | |

| Nice, take time to cover those frame bolt tips in grease, you will thank yourself later.
Alot of info on bushing and tierod end issues. Not sure if superdaves carry 570 parts

They are STI wheels with ITP center caps. Duro 26x9x12 power grip radials all 4 tires so you can rotate them Explorer said the OEM ones stuck out too far and one got knocked off so he found ITP replacements ..

| After repairing damaged crankshaft threads(from someone using a clutch puller) 2 snapped off coil mounting bolts, looking at pictures online to see line, wiring and hose routing, It's now burning dead Dinosaurs again! Throttle cable may be broken , it doesn't work. Then put the bodywork back on.

Seems to have some decent power .... .. Need every bushing front and rear for a-arms and spindles replaced - totally shot ... Need front drive shaft universal joints Need right side steering rack boot Needs blown rear muffler flange gasket replaced Needs one broken grease fitting extracted & replaced on rear arm Need to fabricate a rear underpan/engine skid plate...

| Jeff, you ask about u-joints got them from NAPA, Precision # 1501, for some reason I also put 812 on the box. They can be greased. I think Sportsman found some also but don't know the #. NAPA is the only place I found them.
From all the parts you are putting on it, it sounds like it has already been punished pretty good.
When you are ready for test drive give me a shout.
