riding michaux on 1-12-13

heading up to michaux with the brute force saturday around lunch time to get a couple hours of riding in and make a couple loops

let me know if anyone is heading up that way we can hit some trails.

or we would be there with such great temps.

We were up there the other day in the Jeep looking around, and there was still plenty of snow on the trail. With the temps and rain it could be nice and muddy. Ride Safe!

They have about 2 miles of log sled trail closed. They are redoing it and putting 26 breakers in when they close for the spring. Dcnr has a sign put up about the trail being closed, I went around it and checked the work out. A private contractor was working on the trail today. We talked for a few minutes and 1 old guy said it was best if we moved on.

well, I got to ride 32 miles last friday at michaux. the temps were great and still a little snow left on the ground. There were lots of people out and even seen a group with a few sxs. My ride came to an early end when something didn't "feel" right with the brute. That "feel" turned out to be a sliced sidewall in my right rear mudlite and a bent wheel. Not sure how I did it - but I did. Loaded up and headed home and when backing in the driveway I noticed the trailer had a flat tire - definetely wasn't my day for tires. I got the brute fixed up with 4 plugs in the sidewall. I have 10" mudlite's on the front of the brute and I think I'm gonna change them to 8" mudlites....I just don't like how heavy the steering is with them. I will then have 2 spares for the rear.

Other than that - a great day to be on the trails. I think I'm heading back up with my rzr on friday 1-18-13 in the afternoon to get a little trail time in with my son - if anyone is heading up......look me up
