| I saw in this month's dirtwheels that Yammer now offers power steering on the 450 Grizz. Great option for grown ups that are less than full size. | |

| I was just looking at the list price of 7500. for the new 450. Seems a bit steep to me. Of course since the 550 is up to 8500 now I guess its all relative. Wacker see what you can find Jo one for | |

I've already checked (3) three different places... None of them actually have any in stock yet. So that sorta makes the prices they quote, just "OTW" off the wall. green~6900 blue~7100 camo~7200 They should end up coming in a little better then that. Everyone is saying the end of August / middle of Sept. That's also right about the time that Yamaha runs their winch special too. Let me know if we're going to pick up 2 at the same time

I'm not sure who would like it more... me or her? The disc brakes would be easier to deal with, more ground clearance b/c the IRS, etc. Of course the Honda sure is easy to work on.

| Reading through this post, did anyone get one? I went today to test drive one. Seemed like a nice ride, but moving up from my Ozark scares me. I am very confident with the control I have when riding it. Any insight would be appreciated. cntry | |

cntry I also have test driven one. So these are my thoughts. Also keep in mind that I currently have a Honda Foreman, so, it's a 450, decent sized ~600lbs, straight rear axle... and any kind of suspension feels "cushy" to me. I also have ridden the the 550 and 700 Grizzlys which felt "too big" for me, but I can pretty much pin that down to a higher/taller seat to footpeg distance and the plastic really swells up over the rear wheels where you throw your leg over the seat. I'm 5'6", so that makes me scrape my boot over the plastic fender unless I'm real conciencious and careful. The 450... the seat to peg height was good. Plastic fender "felt" lower. Don't know if this was actual or due to peg height. 450 is enough power but not too much that if you are in a ditch or slightly stuck and you blip the throttle, it shouldn't climb up on you as quickly as a 550 or 700. Although, with an Ozark 250, you may feel like the 450 has too much power compared to what you are used to. 200cc is almost double what you're used to. I have family that ride 250 Honda Recons and they are able to keep up and ride fine along with everyone else. As a side note, I also test drove BK550's 550 Polaris which is a really nice bike as well. If I get one of those, I'll just have to live with the extra 100cc! I'd say be sure to consider what kind of trails you ride, how fast/average speed, how many steep hills that you climb that you need the power, your skill level and what your riding buddies have and how fast. Do you have to have your bike screaming to keep up or run out of power on hills? All important things to consider. Or you could just be a girl and decide based on the color! Good luck deciding!

cntry How did you like the power steering on the bike Also, not sure if your Ozark gets hung up & high centered anywhere, but the IRS machine would be more ground clearance and a smoother ride. Good Luck

| My girlfriend, Monkey, has only ridden a 700 Grizzly. She is 4'11" tall. When she stands up...you can't tell cause there is still no air between the bike's seat and hers! She refuses to try any other quad. She has taken my 850 2-up out for a short spin, but doesn't like the extra size of it. It shouldn't take you too long to get used to a 450 Grizzly. I have a couple of friends that came from Ozarks to 550 Grizzlies. No problem, just a little trail time to get comfortable w/ the new ride. | |

| Tumbleweed I am also 4'11" and I ride a 550 Grizz and no one can tell if I am sitting or standing but I wouldn't trade it for anything except a PURPLE 700 GRIZZ | |

| SR~~ 4' 11" ?! Pfssst! You wish... Wi-Fee is less than a full-scale adult also. For her, being able to see thru the front rack is a must. She needs to be able to see thru the front rack so that so she can "see" her line of travel. Everyone has something that gives them confidence on-board their machine. That's hers. Wi-Fee is way more timid than Switchback. She needs a smaller framed machine. Honda Rancher is the quad for her. | |
