| A buddy and I went playing around in the Jeeps Saturday. Sort of a test ride for something we're putting together for our coworkers in May. Jeeps are very new to me so I have some learning to do. Like, close the windows so tree branches don't slap you in the face! Or lift your feet so your boots don't get wet when you go in over the top of your tires! Deep snow will throw the Jeep around, steering is not real precise! Better pics were taken, but I don't have them yet! I just leaned out the window while my buddy was getting his waders on. Steep, sandy hills are fun. Add a little slushy snow and now it gets interesting! | |

| Almost forgot the best..worst...evil...part. I wouldn't want to be there on certain nights. No beer cans at all. Red Bull can in the right side. Fire pit to the lower left. 8 circles with a well worn path going from one then around and looping back. Leading to this??? | |

| No idea what it is, but I got a creepy feeling. Glad it was sunshine and middle of the day!!! My Jeep got a little wet inside. Good thing they put drain holes in the floor. Sounded a bit like an Evinrude, burbling away! | |

You are funny. It looks like a homemade labyrinth. There are no chicken bones, so I don't think the New Agers sacrificed anything. Per the Wikipedia: "Labyrinths are used by modern mystics to help achieve a contemplative state. Walking among the turnings, one loses track of direction and of the outside world, and thus quiets the mind." I think this website has the one you found on it... Michigan Labyrinths #3265BTW: Looks like a fun trip, but a little chilly. I've already gotten used to these 60 and 70 degree days here in PA!

| Thanks for the link. Very interesting. That is the place. I still wouldn't go there at night!!! But we did leave a new toothbrush! The outside temp got up to 77*, but the water was chilly when I tried to back paddle the Jeep! | |

| New toothbrush! From their website: "When you are done experiencing the energies of the site, thank Mother Earth. Honor the site by leaving a gift of tobacco, corn meal, a flower, or any object that you feel in your heart is appropriate" A new toothbrush! Good choice! | |

Run across any young aspen growths? I was mostly looking for the trail!!! And trying not to scratch up the Jeep too much. That didn't work so well. Lots of new "pin stripes"!

| Latest Jeep trip, April 17-20. When we started to put this trip together, we found out there was a Jeep Jamboree at Coal Creek on April 27th. We did NOT wish to share the trails with a bunch of other Jeeps. Tripping over each other. Blocking the trails when stopped for a break. ATVs can get off the trail much better than Jeeps!!! So we planned for the weekend before the Jeep Jamboree. Time off work scheduled...check. Hotel rooms booked for the others...check. Campground booked for me...sold out!!! WTH??? The Jamboree is next weekend?!? OH! No, there is an ATV Jamboree on our weekend. I REALLY didn't want to be a part of that! Faster ATVs don't mix well with slower Jeeps. We rode 2 days at Coal Creek and then Saturday at Golden Mountain. With a little stop for breakfast. It was a scramble to find some other place to be on Saturday when the ATV Jamboree was in full swing. Golden Mountain seemed like our best bet. WOW!! Our Jeeps are not stock, but were barely capable of the GREEN trails! We didn't even attempt the moderate or difficult ones. We were asked if we had lockers and spare axles?!?! Nope and Nope. We rode down one hill so steep that the grab handle left an imprint in Coral's hand!!! | |

| Looks like a real good time. Picking a favorite pic. Tough call. Jeep imprint barely looses to the "line up" pic. TW, your Jeep looks super cool. Maybe it's because yours is a two door. Or maybe it's the extra lights by the windshield. Or the winch. Or the big boy tires. Thanks for sharing! | |
