From another site, somewhere in Alaska:
Wow, one of our village elders went out hunting today, and she went without telling anyone where she went. Well her snowmachine broke down about 25 miles out and she WALKED all the way back home. She is 73 years old and walked in FIFTY BELOW weather. Wow. It took her 8 hours to walk back in that weather.
I can bet that any one else in our village would of died out there due to unpreparedness, and would of stopped walking halfway through.
Do you think you would have made it?
And also who else knows a person with the unbelievable will to survive in a situation like that?
