holy flood waters batman

It is realy bad around here. Everything is under water. This is the second highest flood stages to hit the harrisburg area since agnes. this is my uncles house, usualy about 100 yrds from river and it is still to go up 9' more. Wish us luck. My house will be ok except i learned of two roof leaks that leaked pretty bad into my daughters room.

Yea other than roof leaks. Imagine those pictyres i posted with another 9' of water, thats what there saying. Yikes

yikes ...how far away are the photo locations relative to your place ? Did your Uncle evacuate?

All with in 2-5 minute walk. My uncle has left cause with the rise of 9' more it will be in his living area. Now its just in his open basement.

Wowzer!!! Not good

Not as important as the effect on people’s lives but a lot of the animals at the Hershey Zoo are drowning. They have had to shoot some bison.

Jim and I drove over to see what the Potomac River looked like this evening and the water has not crossed over the lower roadways but is real close. Here are some pictures of the river...

So i showed you all my uncles flooded house here is what happened to my uncles cabin last week with huricane. Three oaks took out his roof and ceiling . The man has no luck.

Wow! What a different some water can make.

I had to go to Reading last night. was planing to take the Pa. turnpike to Rt 222 north. But the turnpike was closed east of Harrisburg. I then headed north to I-78 for rt 183. But it too was closed. The only other option was rt 61, lucky it was open to Reading. The river in Reading was at the top of it's banks and on Rt 422 east. in a couple places. Today when I was headed back towards home on the turnpike, I noticed that the water at the river was allmost to the runways at the Harrisburg airport.

Harrisburg, selinsgrove, pine grove are way worst than hershey realy only flooded the park and 4 fast food resturaunts. Mostly homes were destroyed in those towns. Very sad today me and the girls drove to some locations hard for to get around. Most roads are under 8' water aroubd here. Sad seeing families who lost everything sobbing looking at what was there homes
