I have never been to either one.
But it looks like it is only about a 2.5 hour drive for me. Can’t' work it out this Saturday but would some other time.

Pine Grove Furnace State Park is near the Piney Mountain parking lot/ Bendersville Rd area for the Michaux Trails - the other parking lot is Big Flat /Shippensburg Rd..
