My Buddy in Colorado Springs just sent this "The Rulon burger challenge" named in honor of Olympic gold champion Rulon Gardner in Afton, Wyoming. (wimp) Razz

I can see these Cowboys have never been to Denny's Beer Barrel Pub

I'm not even sure they know what BEEF is, "Where's the BEEF"

We"ll have to get Wacker to show them how it's done The Rulon burger challenge 597277

I can tell you from experience that the large bun, all that bread is the trouble.
Dennys Beer Barrel Pub 2 lb. burgers have so much cheese, lettuce, tomatoes,
relish to cover up the bun that it adds up fast.
The ones that are made from 2, 3 or 4 patties are built straight up on a regular size bun.

HillTop Escape "RedNeck Burger" Three (3) 1/2 pound patties w/ American, Swiss & PepperJack Cheese Lettuce, Tomato, Mayo, Ketchup, Mustard, Pickles with fries and a drink...
You had to eat and drink all of it!!! ~ for the "Wall of Fame" or the "Wall of Shame" Laughing
Bargain Price for the meal of $8.95

Finished all of this one including the fries and drink... Cool

This one at Denny's I could not finish... I'm not sure if we'll ever meet again... Razz

Your sure right about a eating machine, Brad Schuillo from Uniontown, Pa. he may have been eating the 15 lb'er when you seen him. I don't know how they can do this.

I watched on TV, this japanese guy eating hot dogs, he just kept stuffing them in his mouth. He put the bun in water, easier to swallow. Not sure how many he ate but he won.

I'd recommend riding SSRT on Sat and/or Sun then have dinner
Sunday evening and travel home on Monday if possible. Cool

I like your description of the big burger at Denny's, McBurger Slayer. That challenge could just as easily be called the Big Gut Load of Bread Challenge. Waaaay too much bread. And way too much of the wet condiments. They need to at least drain the pint of relish before dumping it on the pile...The competitor is left holding a sloppy mess. I wish I knew a someone that could get me to the location of the Redneck Challenge. That is something I would be willing to try.

Grizz~The Japanese guy's name is Kobayashi. He can be seen on ESPN during the 4th of July competition. He's just a little guy. His best is somewhere around 60 hotdogs (and buns) in 10 minutes. How is that possible?? He no longer is the best in the world. Joey Chestnut is in the 70 range. I saw Joey on Man-V-Food eat a six pound burrito. Wow. He appears to be in great distress while eating. No doubt, great distress follows the eating at some point, too. Neutral Smile
