anyone made it to mines and medows yet? thinking of taking the wife one of these days there to get used to riding. not too bad of a drive since it is under 3 hours for me. I saw on the site where it said no vehicles over 59 inches can go in the mine so it looks like the rzr-s cant go in which sucks but oh well.

The Mines portion is the only real reason to go there.
It is about the size of an underground football field. Large diameter limestone columns support the ceiling. Total darkness. No GPS as you are underground.

The Meadows part was typical PA. Hills, rocks, mud & flat sections. Nice, but not nearly enough acres.

Glad I went, but to go back again would require a special reason. This was back in 2007.

I think we might try it out since it is only 3 hours away. Ruger suggested taking the wife on one of the QCR Group ride and I am hoping we will be able to do the fall trip where ever it is.

cool thanks for the info gump. the main reason i want to go is to check out the mine. the website says i need either a pa or ohio tag. how hard is it to get a pa tag if i live in ohio. I think they are alot cheeper then the ohio ones now.

Here is the form you need.

Registration Form

Fill out Sections A. B. E. F. & G.

For the tax reistration and title fees section you do not need to fill in since you are out of state. All I did was fill in a zero for line #6.

I faxed mine in to the DCNR office, they called the same day for a credit card number to charge the $20 to. I had the plate and tag within 5 days.

For proof of owner ship I made a copy of the title and faxed that along with the form.

You need more help pm me or call me.

NOTE: MY INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR PENNA NON RESIDENTS
