PostSubject: Riding in N Carolina   Riding in N Carolina Icon_minitimeFri Oct 08, 2010 10:08 pm

The week of 10/18 I'll be heading to Hickory, NC. The wife's job is taking her there for a week so we're making it a working vacation--she's working, I'm vacationing! I'm taking the 4-wheeler along and I'm going to try and find some trails to ride. Anyone have any suggestions? Is Callalantee a good place? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!!!!

Now that's Funny... lol!

We've never ridden in NC, but porkchop, Doc, Lee, etc... are from down that way.
They may have tried it out. Take some pictures and let us know how it goes.

Have Fun.

Brushy and Brown Mtn will both be close. Brown is a National forest and has a $5 per day fee. `40 miles of trail. Brushy is an ATV / MC park. Charges will be a bit higher. I've rode Brown a few times. It can be very technical in places and is a ton of fun. The reason I don't go more is that WV is only 35 minutes further for me...

Search Brushy ATV - Taylorsville / Lenoir area. Not far off of I-40.

Brown is near Morganton. Exit 105 from I-40.

Thanks for the info. I'll check out both those places. It's nice that they're close!
