To ride on 8 of 8 Hatfield systems in 2014 on my 2014, I gotta go west - loosely speaking.  We have a group arriving Gilbert Tuesday September 9th, leaving Saturday.  We are staying at Lisa and Marty's Browning Fork Trail House.  System schedule is yet to be determined, but Jeff suggested we go ahead and knock out Bearwallow Tuesday afternoon.  Sounds like a good idea.

As always, all are welcome to join us.

The time is drawing near! After only a couple of personnel changes, DangerDave should arrive 1st on Tuesday, followed in rapid succession by Throttleboss, Punisher, Eastenn, and me, with One Dave and Roger arriving Wednesday night.

For anyone interested in meeting us on the trails, the plan that is subject to change is:

Tuesday afternoon: Rockhouse and UDT connector route hunt.
Wednesday: Bearwallow, if not all day then add some Buffalo too
Thursday: Buffalo Mtn for Danger's 51st birthday ride. Fireworks at nightfall likely.
Friday: Back at Rockhouse with lunch plans

I swear the thought of going to Wytheville or Princeton Monday night sounds better and better all the time...

Here we are. Right at the last minute almost, and the schedule begins to change. Isn't it always like this?

Me and Throttleboss should now be there tomorrow morning about 10. Eastenn by noon.

MY bedroom.   Not like Mountain Top at all.

Going to Bearwallow.  They are building some nice roads out there.  But only in ceratin spots!  Very Happy

On Bearwallow.

BTW there was a way from Bearwallow to Rockhouse (Man).  Approx. 3 miles of blacktop total on the entire route.  It could still be there, but I don't know since I haven't been down there in 3 years or so.  There was mountain top mining in that area so that is why I say was.

Never been up to Horsepen Mtn. by quad.  Was there trails that still headed toward Buffalo Mtn.?

Wacker will be disappointed that you didn't take pictures at Starters

Although 2 of us parked in front of Starters, we ended up eating at another place.  As you can see on the track, we had to circle to get any parking!

Off of Rockhouse (punisher photos):

After overcoming some obstacles including one rather large strategically placed hole we arrived at our next stop Very Happy

The Burning trail is still burning , no steam today but still plenty toasty!

Off to our next destination down the less traveled path

Can't load any more pictures because this crappy photobucket app keeps crashing over the past hour ...
It's screwing up the pictures, too
Check back later for more ....

Traveling down the less travelled path ...

While looking out over Williamson , Eagle Eye Roger spots a new eating establishment in town !

So on to Williamson we go ...to the Righteous brew and grill !

For Meatloaf , Mashed Potatoes , a latte , and some other "EyeOpening " sights , lol

Afterward it was back to fast blasting the trails , one more break

Some leg punishment -
Then time to load .....

We were there !

Hey, really great pictures! I see the little riding I have done at Hatfield-McCoy is just the tip of the iceberg. I definitely need to return there, and ride some more trails. I wish I could ride with you guys there, but I am to old and beat up to hang with you. Keep posting the pics, though, and I can enjoy some of it through you guys. Thanks. Sully
