UPDATE on Kato Bridge: April 27, 2013
Rodney Preslovich, chairman of Snow Shoe Township Supervisors advised that the Kato Bridge will need new beams installed. The supervisors are working on options to get them replaced but it will take some time.
In the interim, the township would like to install several fiords above the bridge to slow down the water. Then, they would add number 4 stone below the bridge so vehicles could cross the creek even when the water is higher. This would certainly provide emergency vehicles a way to handle the crossing. Rodney Preslovich has advised that the engineer was on site Friday, April 26, 2013 to investigate the area. He advised that the fiords should be installed in 2 to 3 months--So, June or July that project should get completed.
The Kato Bridge will take longer to get the beams replaced- however the supervisors are working on resolutions.
