Hi Everyone,
I know it's been a while since I've been here, seems I only make time when I'm getting ready for a trip to WV. We are making our annual Spring Break trip to HMT this coming Friday and are planning to stop at Little Coal River overnight for a day of riding before heading to Ashland Resort for the rest of the week. Can anyone tell me the best route to get from Julian to Ashland? I'm driving my 25' Class C motorhome, pulling a 12' aluminum trailer with 2 quads. Any help would be appreciated!
Thank you,
Cntry

Very Happy

Two choices -

119 down through Logan on Rt 10 to 80 on to 52 to Northfork
maybe not the best or fastest for a motorhome and trailer OR
back up 119 to Charleston then down 77 and into Ashland.

Good luck and take lot's of pictures. Cool

Hi cntryldy. Yeah, it's been a while. If my memory is right, I'm still waiting for some sort of green pepper relish recipe from you. Laughing

I've never tried the route you are asking about. Class "C" ....hummmmm What a Face is that the Grey Hound bus sized RV or is that the "A" sized RV? Either way, just an opinion-- more of a guess, but since Little Coal River is only 30-40 minutes from I-77, you might prefer backtracking 30 miles to go to Ashland the same way you have in the past. Right down the four lane.

Good to hear from you again. Thanks for the question. Better opinions to follow.... Smile

Thank you! I'll do some more studying of the maps and decide. Smile

I forgot all about that recipe, PP. I'll work on it right after I get back from HMT. RV is definitely not a bus, but is still wider than some of the roads I've seen in HMT country, although when we were there in the fall we traveled IR Trail 19 because of a fire that had the hard road blocked just pasted the bridge in Northfork.

We arrived at Little Coal River yesterday afternoon. Settled in at the Little Coal River Campground. Unloaded and hit the trails. We have now ridden 4 of the 7. If the rain stops we may hit another on our way to Ashland. Headed that way after breakfast.

Happy Easter to everyone,
Cntry

Glad you guy's are having a good time Smile

If you stop at BearWallow just south of Logan you could
easily ride back into Logan for lunch. It's a nice system.
