I've never made them - sounds easy enough... ok if you like bacon or sausage ....
Recipe calls for:
1 lb. cooked diced bacon
3 lb. small red potatos sliced w/ skins on
1 vidalia onion sliced
few pats of butter??? (why, i don't know)
1 can beer (doesn't say what kind/type)
Butter baking dish, make layers with 1st four ingredients, pour beer over, cover with foil...bake @350 for 40-45 minutes until potatoes are tender.
Also says it's good topped with a little swiss cheese ...
or can use sliced kielbasa or sausage i/l/o bacon.
Might test this next week on Yampol...having cheesy augratin potatos tonight with pork chops...Don't want to clog his arteries all in one week
