The gate on the viaduct side of Peale Crossing was vandalized sometime between May 5 & May 11, 2012. The Snow Shoe Rails to Trails is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone providing information that would lead to the arrest, prosecution and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the vandalism of this gate.

I saw an article dated 4/15 that DCNR is planning to work on the Bloody Skillet connector during the summer season to address "the hill".

On May 14,15,16, work details were done on the Bloody Skillet Trails & Snow Shoe Township roads. Work consisted of trimming brush, cutting trees from trail, install/replace missing & vandalized signs, paint gates, collect trash.

Bob Fetterling met with the volunteers to review the work needing done and discuss any concerns. Ed Thomas traveled from Ringtown, Pa. Dave & Sara Bastion traveled from Jamestown, NY & of course the normal expected locals Charles & Carole Jensen, Terry Long, Jack Miller & Larry Mayes all worked in the rain all day Monday & faced a shower or two on Tuesday. Eight bags of trash was collected on the Bloody Skillet & 9 bags collected on the Snow Shoe Township Roads from Tennessee Turnpike to The Bloody Skillet Connector. Three gates were painted on Bloody Skillet as well as several large fallen trees removed. Thank you to all the volunteers for taking ownership into our trails and community.
