SSRT Winter Ride

14 riders converged on the trailhead with near 40 degree days, but cloudy and wind gusts.

Saturday we rode East through the township roads and down the Bloody Skillet connector onto the PA state game land trails. Lunch break under the pines at one of the many creek crossings in the valley. While back tracking in and out of scenic views we came back up "850XP wheelie hill" and then stopped for a group picture in the clearing. Back to the trailhead and loaded up for a dinner stop at Cooney's on the way to the motel.

Sunday we parked and unload at the Western trailhead so we could ride East again and cover the other points of interest on the system. In and out and all around we went for a nice morning ride before loading up around 1PM to head home.

Very nice, looks like a great weekend!

Is the stream crossing the same one @ BS we stopped at when it was so stinky hot last year?
If so the water level is quite a bit higher!

G Bob, I was thinking the same thing; no quads at all this past weekend!! A year ago that would have been unheard of.

Nice Pics. I hope to make it to SSRT sometime this year. Of course my focus is on Colorado in July.

I think I'll continue to straddle my ride for now...but you never know!

dont worry scooter those new s models have something wrong with them, factory recall there top speed is 20mph

Not sure if it is the exact same spot, but both water crossings are on the lower East side
of the system on the BS trail map.

Yep... found you in the Labor Day Ride pictures. Laughing

It was hot that weekend and the water was down enough to walk through.

ok! That's the same weekend we tried to detour around the PSU traffic , Gump blew a fuse ....has that happened any more? and I think Mr. Ed lost his cell phone, to be found later...? Oh & the mouse in C/L's hubby's quad and Gump winched out DJ! Very Happy
